Spring Break Adventures

IMG 0979

Spring break was packed with unforgettable experiences for our youth and mentors! Meaningful experiences outside the classroom are just as important as those inside, and this past break was full of opportunities to explore and grow.

Most of the week was spent at Discovery Green, where youth and mentors participated in free community activities. They laced up their skates, danced in the sunshine, and soaked in the vibrant energy of downtown Houston. They also attended the Little BIPOC Book Fest, where they met Black and POC children's book authors, explored new stories, and engaged in fun literacy activities.

The excitement continued with a trip to the Houston Rodeo, where youth learned about animals, agriculture, and the rich culture of rodeo life. Hands-on experiences like this spark curiosity and make learning come alive.

Another highlight was a visit to Old MacDonald’s Farm, where youth had the chance to interact with farm animals, explore the outdoors, and enjoy a day of discovery in nature. These outings provide opportunities for mentorship in new environments, strengthening connections and building confidence in our youth.

Your support makes these experiences possible. By donating, you help ensure that our youth continue to have access to enriching outings that inspire, educate, and create lasting memories. Give today to support future adventures.
