A Season of Thanks and Giving: Celebrating Our First Year of Impact

In this season of giving and thankfulness, Friends of the Children - Houston reflects on an incredible first year of milestones and memories. We are profoundly grateful to be a part of the lives of the youth and families we serve, walking alongside them on a journey of hope, resilience, and growth.

Our inaugural 2024 Gratitude Report celebrates the remarkable accomplishments of our first fiscal year, spanning September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024. From welcoming our first class of youth and families, to partnering with Aldine ISD, to opening the doors of our Clubhouse, this year has been filled with groundbreaking moments. Highlights include being selected as the Astros Charity of the Game and cheering on gold medalist Simone Biles and her team from the very gym where Olympians train—moments that brought the power of dreams and possibilities to life.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors, partners, staff, board, and community. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us launch and thrive in the Houston area. Together, we are creating a legacy of opportunity and impact for generations to come.
