They’re paid, professional mentors committed to being there for the children who need them most at schools, in neighborhoods, and at front doors across Houston.
Each Friend supports up to eight children, building trust and consistency that can change a life. That work requires constant movement. Mentors often drive 1,280 to 2,000 miles each month, the distance from Houston to Chicago.
Showing up takes more than heart. It takes a full tank of gas.
