2026 Mahjong with Friends
On September 30, guests filled the ballroom at Houston Country Club for our second annual Mahjong with Friends. Over lunch and mimosas, tables settled in for an afternoon of Mahjong and friendly competition, with players at each table going head-to-head for prizes.
Lacy Price of Mahjaholic kept the games running all afternoon, and Dessert Gallery Bakerymade and donated custom cookies finished with our event name and logo. Guests also bid on a silent auction full of experiences donated by Houston businesses, from a Longhorns football weekend in Austin to a private sushi-making party at home.
Together, our community raised more than $81,000 for Houston youth. Every dollar supports the professional mentors who walk alongside our kids for 12+ years, no matter what.
The afternoon came together because of our planning committee: Nancy Atlas, Katherine Chambers, Annie Eifler, Gayatri Garg, Debbie Karakowsky, Suzanne McCarthy, and Judy Schuler. We’re also grateful to our table hosts, our sponsors, the businesses who donated auction packages, and Houston Country Club for hosting us.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to gathering again next year.
