Ulicious “Steffon” Jones is a native of Chicago Il. He is a professional drummer and a music producer.
He has worked with children and youth since 1992 working as a teacher assistant, substitute teacher, probation assistant, ISS teacher, Youth Habilitation Provider for Medicaid, an advocate for youth in court and currently Mentoring kids and youth.
A graduate of Urbana High School in Urbana, Illinois, Steffon pursued higher education at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, and Ivy Tech College in Indianapolis, Indiana, majoring in Music and Business.
He started mentoring in 2015 and has since created his own non-profit mentoring program called B.E.A.T.S (Bridging Education Applied Through Sounds) Music Mentoring, in which he has mentored kids and at-risk youth through music. Teaching kids how to use music as an outlet and teaching them new skills such as playing the drums, producing and writing music. Mentoring youth and creating music is his passion. He recently worked with Boys to Men Mentoring in which he helped mentor over 100 boys and worked in 5 schools within one year.
He is now a Professional Mentor with Friends of the Children and plans to dedicate his time, musical talents and mentoring experience with the team and the youth. He is also the drummer for his local church The Crossing Point.
Steffon is most proud of being a devoted father of two wonderful kids.
