Development Manager

Kristyna Torres, with a background in strategy, marketing and development, brings a relationship-centered approach to nonprofit fundraising and organizational growth. With a strong background spanning developmental strategy, donor relationships, volunteer programs, and marketing and community outreach, she specializes in building sustainable revenue growth that align with mission, impact and long-term vision.

In 2013 she led the initiative in adding a new Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) branch in a Wisconsin county, while working as a Supervisor. She has been a course instructor through the Glasscock School at Rice University since 2017 and led her own consultant work with nonprofits since 2015, helping organizations to focus on community and donor engagement strategy. She is passionate about creating meaningful connections between organizations, teams and community partners to strengthen impact on those who need it most.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, nonprofit studies, with a masters in Integrative Health, focusing on communities that lack access to resources. She has traveled on mission trips to Haiti to bring medical resources to impoverished areas and with many more similar goals on her list.

Outside of work, she has two children, several rescued fur-babies and dances on a salsa dance team in Houston. When she isn't at the dance studio, she loves to travel, especially on road trips, and has a passion for active, healthy living.
